Private Chef / Dinner Parties

Generally for groups of 2-14 guests

Beforehand

  • Get in contact via the contact form.

  • Tom will reach out to confirm availability and to discuss food options in more detail. Breakfast, lunch and/or dinner are possible.

  • Tom will then draft a menu and discuss back and forth until it’s right for you.

  • A 30% deposit will be taken to secure the booking.

  • All of the ingredients are then sourced and prepared by Tom.

On the day

  • Tom will typically arrive 1-2 hours before guests arrive to set up the table and kitchen.

  • Minimal food preparation will be done in your kitchen. However some free space in the fridge and freezer may be necessary.

  • Tom will bring equipment, plates and cutlery. We only ask you to provide glasses.

  • You can sit back and enjoy a unique meal with your friends and family. Tom will take care of the cleanup, leaving your kitchen spotless at the end of the evening.

  • Depending on the circumstances, payment can be taken either via cash or card at the end of event or in full prior to arrival.

    Tipping is not expected.

Service

If you would like additional staff to serve wine, other drinks and provide waiting services, This may be possible for an additional fee. However, this is subject to availability.

Travel expenses:

The Elder Tree is based in the North-East but bookings all around the UK are possible depending on the size of booking and availability.

In normal circumstances travel expense is calculated at 50p/mile

Below are two example menus to give an idea of our prices. All events The per person amounts are calculated for a booking of between 6 and 8 guests. Arranging a booking for fewer people will increase the price slightly.

Personal Chef / Prepared Meals

Personal chef service:

  • This is if you would like to hire Tom for an extended period (e.g a weekend or a holiday abroad) or for a regular slot (e.g cooking a more simple dinner two nights/week).

  • Get in touch via the contact form.

  • Prices are dependent on the details of your needs and will be discussed after contact.

  • It’s best to get in touch well ahead of your preferred dates to get the best chance Tom will be available.

Prepared Meals:

  • If you would like meals prepared for you and delivered ready to be reheated later.

  • This could be a block of the same portioned meal, a week of different meals or a larger dinner kit for one night and be designed according to your exact preferences.

Canapé / Buffet Events

For up to 50 guests.

  • This type of booking involves Tom arriving at your site, assembling the food to look its best and leaving you to it. As such, this is suitable for food served at room temperature unless you have the means to hold hot food.

  • The food choices are entirely up to you. All dietary requirements and preferences can be accommodated. Prices will depend on your requirements.
